My hope still is to leave the world a bit better than when I got here.

Legacy Projects
Some of the most cherished gifts to leave behind have no price tag.
Pouring your heart, soul, and intention into a parting gift for the people you love - that is something that can never be bought or sold. It is felt across generations.
An ethical will, a handwritten recipe box, a recorded story, a letter written to a grandchild not yet born - these are the things families hold onto long after everything else is gone. The rich history of a life well lived, passed forward to descendants you will never meet. That is the definition of deep ancestral connection.

A legacy project is any intentional, meaningful creation that captures who you are. A collection of your stories, your values, your humor, your wisdom, your love - preserved for the people who come after you.
It doesn't need to be elaborate and perfection is not the goal here. It just needs to be a reflection of the many facets of you.
We explore the projects that resonate with you and determine who will receive the gift. The project is then brought to life in a way that feels true to you, even when time or energy is limited.

Just like a fingerprint, everyone is unique. Here are some projects we can help you put together:
Ethical Will - An absolute treasure! Preserved documentation that records your values, beliefs, life lessons, and hopes. One of the most profound gifts a person can leave behind.
Legacy Letters - personal, heartfelt letters written and meant to be read at milestones or after your passing
Cookbook or Recipe Box - your favorite recipes collected and shared with brief stories and memories of each special dish
Audio or Video Memoir - recorded conversations capturing stories, personality, and wisdom in your own voice
Hand Castings - a 3D tactile keepsake that preserves your hands, or of you and a loved one
Shadow Box - a curated collection of meaningful objects, photos, and mementos that tell the story of a life
Painted Stones - small, personal creations that can be placed in gardens, kept on shelves, or passed between family members
Poetry and Writing - original poems, reflections, or short writings (preferably in your own unique handwriting)
Photo Essay or Timeline - a visual journey through your life with captions, context, and stories
Music Playlists - a selection of songs for your vigil, celebration of life, or simply to share the soundtrack of your life
Time Capsule - a container of curated items - notes, mementos, photos, or keepsakes to be unsealed at a specific date and time
-
Every chapter of your story has significance and in some way affects the person you are now.
We will sit with you in conversation - drawing out the memories, turning points, relationships, and moments that have shaped who you are. Nothing is too small or too ordinary to be worth capturing.
These conversations can be recorded, transcribed, or woven into written narratives. We help shape your words into something your family will revisit again and again. From this, you loved ones can develop deeper insight, experience growth, obtain answers, become inspired, find forgiveness, or receive the words needed to begin their healing journey.

How do you want to be remembered and celebrated?
We help you think through and document your wishes for your memorial or Celebration of Life. From the music and readings to the food, the flowers, and the feeling you want the room to have. We also assist with writing your personal eulogy or obituary so your story is told in your own words, exactly the way you would tell it.
Planning these details in advance is one of the greatest gifts you can leave for your loved ones. It lifts an enormous burden from grieving hearts and ensures your final celebration is truly, unmistakably you.

As much as we don’t want to face the possibility, dementia is indeed a reality for some. This challenge has been experienced first hand, so we can testify that the urgency is real. The gathering of memories for preservation can and will become very challenging if too much time is allowed to pass.
Whether using our services or working on your own, we urge everyone to start sooner than later. Obtaining stories when memories are fading require a different set of skills in patience and providing a safe, calm, and uninterrupted environment.
This process is not for perfection or accuracy. It can be repetitive and timelines may become tangled. Often though, a new highlight may come out of a story told dozens of times over.
Even fragments are worth saving.

Legacy projects are deeply personal and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. We ask the questions to understand what matters most to you and what feels most important to create.
Together, we build a realistic plan that honors your time, energy, and resources. We can work in person or virtually, whatever feels most comfortable.
It is never too early to start. And it is rarely too late.
